How to do Roundoff Snap-Down Drills

  1. Handstand Snap-Down

From a handstand against the wall, snap feet down to the floor aggressively. Land with feet together, arms up.

Cues: Fast foot snap · Feet together · Arms up on landing

  2. Roundoff to Elevated Surface

Perform a roundoff onto a raised mat. Focus on the snap-down contact — feet hit together, body rebounds up.

Cues: Snap onto mat · Both feet together · Rebound upward

  3. Roundoff Rebound

Roundoff on floor with maximum rebound height. Measure how high you bounce after the snap-down.

Cues: Maximum rebound · Push through shoulders · Tight body

  4. Roundoff into Back Handspring Entry

Connect roundoff snap-down directly into back handspring timing. The power comes from the snap-down.

Cues: Connect to BHS · Power from snap · No pause between
